American Community has just made a change to the Community Flex benefits that we think you will find a real positive. The following exclusion has been removed from the policy going forward and administratively will be waived on existing policies:
"Charges due to an injury received while operating a motorized vehicle with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit."

Have you heard the news?
May 2009 - Coventry will be exiting the PFFS market for 2010.
All commissionable PFFS sales will cease July 1, 2009 and no PFFS products will be available for 1/1/10 sales.
Renewals will cease 12/31/09 and all members must convert to another MA plan or return to original Medicare.
Stephens-Matthews Marketing, Inc. announced on April 10, 2009 that we would no longer market Medicare Advantage plans...
Instead, we are encouraging our agents to contract with one of our Medicare Supplement carriers as a viable alternative to the Medicare Advantage products. Mutual of Omaha Says NO to TARP FUNDS!
As you know, the federal government has extended Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) funds to life insurers. Unlike other insurers, Mutual of Omaha has not applied for funds under TARP and has no plans to do so.
Not only has Mutual of Omaha not applied for any government money, we have not requested any statutory relief. That’s great news for Mutual of Omaha and for those doing business with us. We’re a strong, stable and secure company – as witnessed by our affirmed A+ A.M. Best rating just last week and the two recent increases in our Comdex score, now at 95.

Notice:
Effective April 30th we are moving our credit card processing to Chase Card Services. We are transitioning this service so we no longer have to store credit card data. This is a compliance initiative and will make our members’ financial data more secure.
This change is affecting our process, specifically in regard to the E-store application.
The credit card information will have to be entered on the last page (Signature page) of the e-app order to be compliant. As a result of the payment entry being moved to the signature page, brokers will no longer be able to enter a consumer’s credit card info on the Broker Assisted application.
The up-side is that consumer’s data will be more protected and the applicant will know immediately if the card is accepted or rejected.
